We interrupt our regular program to recognize a person that leaves Tourism BC today to pursue a new opportunity. A special blog entry is in order because Eric has worked on HelloBC for a number of years. He has been one of the idea generators and implementers of this website. He specifically managed the creation of our great content, played a large role in the creation the Blogs section and the evolution of other functionality. Eric, thanks for your all your efforts. Millions of website users have benefited from it.

You'll be back. TBC blood runs deep in your veins. I give you 1 month before crawling back and begging us to take you back. If that doesn't happen, well, good luck to you. I have my eye on your office space. All kidding aside, do come back to visit. I can't believe I'am saying this to another guy, but I miss you already.

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge your generous support and guidance over the years. You have helped me in numerous ways both professionally and personally, and for that I thank you.

See you soon!

What a legacy you are leaving behind ... no way will we forget you, Eric. Thanks for DAM! Thanks for all that web content! Thanks for the maps and categories and CMS and ... well, you get it! Watch out Rick, here comes a real "man in motion"!

Can somebody run out, buy a bag of apples and return the ibook we got him?

I am sad to see you leave Eric but happy that you are moving on to a new adventure in your career! I think I said to you the other day that you will be "sorely missed"... I meant "surely missed". For sure seeing another TBC family member leave is painful and it does leave a bit of a soreness to all of us here, so I guess that makes sense as well!
So Eric you will be sorely and surely missed!
Good luck and keep in touch as i still want to hear how you, the family and the band are doing!

That's it? A blog posting? After all these years? I expect, at minimum, a giant fruit basket on my desk by the end of the day today. Only after my belly is bursting with fruity-goodness will I truly feel we have said goodbye.

I'll miss you all!

"It’s interesting to leave a place, interesting even to think about it. Leaving reminds us of what we can part with and what we can’t, then offers us something new to look forward to, to dream about."

- Richard Ford, "An Urge for Going"

We'll miss you Eric...

Keep in touch. Let's do Whistler again! This time slow down so I can keep up.

It's a sad day when a good friend and colleague decides to leave the Tourism BC family. However I'm very happy for you Eric. You are embarking on a great adventure and new challenges which is great to see.

I will personally miss our IM and hallway chats not to mention hanging out over coffees. As alluded to by William, you have made a positive contribution to HelloBC.com and millions have indeed benefited as a result.

Take care buddy and remember "It's All Good!!!"
