AN OKANAGAN MUST SEE: Tucked away along Lakeshore Road Kelowna on the shores of Lake Okanagan is a delight for your taste buds. So many people think of goat cheese as that little bland-tasting white log. Think again and visit Carmelis Artisan Cheese where more than twenty varieties of cheese await you. On Timberline Road high above the lake, drop in to enjoy the spectacular view, visit the goats in the barn, often with their newborn kids, or watch them cavort on the hillside. It is off the beaten tourist track but well worth the visit. We take ALL our visitors there and don't buy our goat cheese anywhere else. We LOVE it.

In June 2006, we visited Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island.

The trees are so tall that they can dwarf a grown man.

Can you spot Mike?

Pour nous, les rédidents de l'est du Canada, notre rêve, c'est de se mouiller les pieds dans l'océan Pacifique.

The absolute trip of a lifetime for me. A trip I literally had to "put off", for twenty five years. I have wanted to go to British Columbia for that long and for one reason or another wasn't able to. It's July of 2006, and this scene is, to me one of the most beautiful placess on the planet. It's Garibaldi Lake, and it is near Whistler, and as you can see it is aptly titled,"where dreams are born". For me, an artist, so much inspiration comes my way by virtue of viewing this scene. I can never say I have no reference material for future paintings.

Cowboys or Cowgirls

We discovered this guest ranch over 12 years ago and have been coming back year after year ever since. The Sundance Guest Ranch is tucked away on the slopes of the spectacular Thompson River valley, just outside the small western town of Ashcroft. The beautiful countryside, the excellent horses, and the friendly staff make this a truly Great Find!  Each time we sit on the deck to watch the sun go down after a day in the saddle, we realize that we cannot think of a better place to spend our vacation in British Columbia and to be cowboys and cowgirls for a few days!
