Downhill skiing and snowboarding are important winter activities in 100 Mile House and the South Cariboo area, even though there are relatively limited options.

Mt. Timothy is the main place for skiing and snowboarding in this area. This is a family-focused ski hill owned and operated by a not-for-profit society.

Skiing at Mt. Timothy

Mt. Timothy is located 23km/14mi east of Lac La Hache, and is an approximately 45-minute drive northeast of 100 Mile House.

Mt. Timothy has a vertical drop of 284m/938ft, 33 runs and appeals to skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. More than two-thirds of the terrain is suitable for intermediate/advanced skiers or boarders, although there are plenty of beginner trails to allow the novice to practice at his or her comfort own level.
